This Knitted doll with name Lotte was from MY SNOWFLAKE in cooperation with the foundation Suyana designed. The sweet dolls & cuddly toys are lovingly and patiently handcrafted by the women from the Tejidos Carla women's group in El Alto, Bolivia. Every cuddly toy does that a unique favorite!

The doll is made from 100% baby alpaca wool, a natural fiber of the highest quality. Baby alpaca wool is super soft and light, contains hardly any lanolin and therefore does not require any chemical pretreatment, which makes it suitable for allergy sufferers. Due to the smooth structure of the fibers, when properly cared for, hardly any pebbles are formed and the wool has an odor-inhibiting effect.

So that you can enjoy your knitted product for as long as possible, please note the following care instructions: Alpaca wool should preferably be aired and not necessarily washed. Ventilation in the fresh air overnight is usually sufficient for the fibers to regain their natural properties. If you do want to wash your product, please note: The most gentle way to wash your product is by hand. Use warm water (maximum 30 degrees Celsius) and a hair shampoo or detergent for wool (important: pH-neutral). In order not to endanger the protective film of the wool, little should be used. Soak the alpaca product briefly and gently pull it through the water, taking care not to rub or rub. Rinse carefully with warm water (also 30 degrees Celsius). The fibers cannot cope with large temperature differences. Then gently squeeze out the moisture in a cloth. Let it dry lying down in the fresh air, avoiding direct sunlight.

Suyana was founded in October 2003 in Switzerland. The foundation is a private non-profit organization, politically and denominationally independent and provides development and charitable collaborations worldwide.

The women's group Tejidos Carla emerged from a workshop that Carla's mother founded many years ago in La Paz, Bolivia. Tejidos Carla currently employs over 30 knitters and seamstresses, many of whom have already been trained by Carla's mother. For the foundation Suyana The women of Tejidos Carla produce cuddly toys and dolls with great attention to detail and a lot of patience, which they produce on simple manual knitting machines or by hand.
