At the top of the Triclimb there are two rungs instead of one so the children can pause, judge, and turn before climbing down the other side.

Triclimb also offers a lot of open play and longevity. The simple addition of a blanket turns the frame into a den or tent, a quiet place or a reading space. The frame can also serve as a baby gym where you can hang flashy toys. 

The origins of the Pikler triangle climbing frame go back to Emmi Pikler, a Hungarian pediatrician who pioneered theories about the development of children in the 1930s and 40s. The focus is on a respectful relationship between infant and parent as well as the natural progress of motor development through free movement and play. Emmi Pikler felt it was important to give children the opportunity to move naturally according to their innate abilities. This is the very essence of Triclimb.
