We support that Swiss project 'Giving Heat'. On this Online toy exchange you can Donate toys for Christmas to families affected by poverty in Switzerland. With just a few clicks, donors upload their discarded toys to the online toy exchange. The toy exchange is password protected and is available exclusively available to families affected by poverty in Switzerland.
On Black Friday we will cover the postage costs for a toy donation at 'Wärme Schenken' for every online order and every purchase in our stores.
What started with a simple idea on a walk in the forest developed in just a few months into an online toy exchange for poverty-stricken families in Switzerland. Through a toy donation appeal, it was continuously filled with a wide variety of toys for babies, toddlers and older children. This year it is their third toy fair that they are organizing in the run-up to Christmas.
Their first fundraising campaign 'Hot water bottles for refugees on Samos' in cooperation with the FAIR association was a quick start, but it received so much positive feedback and support that they couldn't just leave it as a one-off event. The aim of the 'Give Warmth' association is to use simple ideas to give people who are having a hard time in life some warmth. They are aware that they are not changing the world (yet), but at least they are making it a little more human for some people.
